    Short Itinerary

    • Day 1: Reach Manali, and acclimatize by walking into our base camp.
    • Day 2: Drive to Lady Leg base camp from Manali via Dhundi.
    • Day 3: Trek from lady leg BC to Advanced BC.
    • Day 4: Attempt to Friendship peak summit
    • Day 5: Reserve day for Summit.
    • Day 6: Descent to Lady Leg BC.
    • Day 7: Head back from Lady Leg to Manali.

    Detailed Itinerary

    Manali

    Reach Manali and on arrival, our representative will escort you to the basecamp. Relax and unwind after breakfast. Later meet the team over bonfire and bbq.

    Manali – Solang

    After early breakfast drive to Manali then trek to Solang Nalla through old Manali village. Morning walk to Solang Nalla through Old Manali village is a small acclimatizing walk for the climbers. The path goes over the small villages and reaches Solang meadows. Set up camp for the night.

    Trek to Bakarthach.

    Trek to Bakarthach. Morning trek to Bakarthach through Dhundi (08 Kms). Till Dhundi, the walk is smooth either on road and forests and from Dhundi; the trek gradually starts getting altitude towards Bakarthach. It is beautiful trek leading high by crossing streams and facing mountains. The camp is set in a nice place facing several peaks.

    Trek to Beas Kund and back to Bakarthach.

    Although the base camp route for Friendship Peak turns towards right, it is not a bad idea to check out Beas Kund when one is so close to it. We trek to Beas Kund and reach back to our camp in the afternoon.

    Bakarthach to base camp of Friendship Peak. It will take about 4-5 hours to reach the base through nice moraines.

    Base Camp to Bakarthach

    Bakarthach to Solang trek and drive to Manali

    Full day in Manali

    Full day in Manali with a visit to Naggar Village, Roerich Art Gallery and Vishnu Temple or those who just want to chill can go angling by the River Beas near the base.

    Inclusions

    • Pick up and drop off from the bus stop, Manali.
    • All logistics incl. cargo management, transportation, all sightseeing, liaisoning and coordination
    • Stay in alpine tents during the trek & comfortable rooms on 3 sharing basis at dA Base.

    Insurance covering high-altitude trek is mandatory for all participants including guides and porters.

    Items to Carry

    Clothing
    • Backpack – 60-70 Lt. with rain cover.
    • B. Day Pack 15 – 20 Lt. -To carry your personal gear,camera, water bottle, trail clothing, packed food etc.
    • Waterproof High Ankle Trekking Shoes
    • 2 pairs of cotton socks and 1 pairs of woolen socks (best to use when in camp. Not recommended while trekking).
    • Clothing:
      Pants: 1-2 pairs – Ideal are quick-dry lightweight synthetic pants and waterproof warm pants
      T-shirts 2-3 pairs–Preferably full sleeves
      Synthetic Fleece Jacket/ sweater -1 pair.
      Windproof/Waterproof Jacket -1 pair.
    • Down-filled / Hollow fibre-fill insulated Jacket – 1 pair
    •  A woollen cap for the head and ears
    • Thermal liners-1 pair upper and lower
    Miscellaneous
    • Toiletries -Sunscreen SPF 40+, Moisturizer, Lip balm, Soap, Toilet paper.
    • Repair Kit (needle and thread).
    • Headlamp/ Torch.
    • Camera.
    • Water Bottle- Ideally keep two bottles 1 liter each.
    • Trekking Pole -Optional.
    • Plastic Packing covers. (Please pack all your gear in waterproof plastic bags so that your clothes etc do not get wet while on horses or porters. Also carry extra plastic bags in case you need to pack wet clothes.)

    Note: We advise you to carry all the belongings in a rucksack so that it is easy to move around in case of any emergency.
