    Day 1: Welcome to the "Scotland of the East": A Scenic Drive from Guwahati to Shillong

    Arrive in Guwahati and drive to Shillong – the Scotland of the East. Explore the vibrant markets and cafes in Shillong’s police bazaar, and visit Ward’s Lake and Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. Overnight stay in Shillong.

    Day 2: Discover the Natural Wonders of Cherrapunjee: Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, and Mawsmai Cave

    Day 3: Experience the Charm of Mawlynnong and Dawki: Living Root Bridges and a Boat Ride on Umngot River

    Explore the picturesque village of Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia. Visit the living root bridge and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding hills. Later, head to Dawki and take a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of Umngot River. Overnight stay in Dawki.

    Day 4: Unravel the Mysteries of Riwai and Shnongpdeng: Monoliths and Water Adventures in Umngot River

    • Raincoats or umbrellas for sudden rain showers, especially during the monsoon season.
    • Swimwear for water activities in places like Dawki and Shnongpdeng.

    • Repair Kit (needle and thread).

    • Water Bottle- Ideally keep two bottles 1 liter each.

    • Plastic Packing covers. (Please pack all your gear in waterproof plastic bags so that your clothes etc do not get wet while on horses or porters. Also carry extra plastic bags in case you need to pack wet clothes.)

    Note: We advise you to carry all the belongings in a rucksack so that it is easy to move around in case of any emergency.

    How to reach

    You can reach the starting point of this trip, Guwahati, by air, rail, or road. From there, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Shillong, which is around 100 km away and serves as the starting point for the trip.
