    Detailed Itinerary

    Arrive in Manali – ‘dA Base’ – acclimatization hike – Crystal Falls - Himalayan village culture experience – SAVE HIMALAYAS DRIVE, PLANT TREES ETC

    The participants will deboard the Bus at 15 Mile’, 14 kms short of New Manali Bus stand. From this pick-up point, the guests will be driven to our Base in Haripur, near Manali. After refreshments and breakfast hike 2 hrs to ‘the Kkoott’ n Crystal Falls in Soil, the oldest village of this valley. Unwind at Himalayan Jungle Retreat located in a massive orchard by the stream on the edge of the forest. After lunch explore the surroundings or go angling if you like. Return back at base to chat with the team over bonfire and dinner. Next morning , a drive to Pulag for the trek.

    dA Base – Pulag – Chaklani (6 hours)

    Those who have not stayed overnight at our base are welcome to join us in the morning for breakfast. We will then drive for 1 hour to commence the trek from the beautiful village of Pulag. A gradual ascent from Pulag meanders through lush green forests of Deodar, Pine, Chestnut and some of the most exotic flora and fauna. Pulag is a different universe in the splendid morning light.
    Take in the intoxicating breath of fresh air as you walk through the alpine jungles onto wide fields and meadows that will make your heart skip a beat. Let nature drive away all your worries as we gently ascend further. The spectacular view of the Dhauladhar range and the Bara Bhangal range reminds us why we began trekking in the first place. The trek opens into lovely green meadows as we approach the shepherd encampment (gaddi) at Chaklani. One can camp overnight here and live life the Gaddi Way for a night.

    Chaklani to Nagruni (5-6 hours)

    It’s Picture Time! Whip out your cameras and get clicking. The sunrise at camp, along with the formidable view of Seven Sisters, Mt. Hanuman Tibba and Indrasan peak will make sure you end up needing those extra batteries. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll be on our way up.
    Listen to the Sound of Silence and connect with yourself. With open valleys on all sides and at the height of almost 14,000ft, Chanderkhani pass changes the definition of serenity, beauty and calm for all.
    This is rightly known as “The Valley of Gods”. Legend has it that Jamlu Devta (the presiding deity of the mystical Malana village), unfastened a holy basket in which were all the Gods of the Kullu region at the Chandrakhani Pass. As the strong winds blew, they carried the Gods to their present abodes all across the region. Hence, it is a place which is sacrosanct and revered to the natives. Soak in the beauty and witness the magnificent Parvati Valley Kullu Valley, Dhauladhar range and Indrasan peak in all its glory. Start the walk to the beautiful open meadows of Nagruni. Camp here with bonfire and enjoy the wild serene beauty.

    Nagruni – Malana – Nehrang (4 hours)

    Start the day with a healthy breakfast. Malana village is just a short walk. Arrive at the famous and historical village of Malana. Explore the village at leisure and interact with the natives to know more. The trek takes about 3 hours. Trek at leisure to reach the Nehrang camp site. Chill with bonfire and scrumptious meal.

    Nehrang – Jari – Kasol (3 hours)

    After a leisurely breakfast trek down to Jari on the Manikaran road.The descent takes about 4 hours. Then walk another 30 minutes on the road to reach Kasol. Explore the mesmerizing village. Experience the “Hippie” and “Shanti” vibe of ‘Little Amsterdam’, Kasol. Today we’ll celebrate the end of the trek with some great food around the bonfire at our beautiful cottage in Kasol.

    Explore Parvati Valley and Tosh and departure

    After breakfast we’ll explore Parvati Valley, visit Manikaran and Tosh. Back in Kasol by evening to catch the Volvo back to Delhi
    This is where we part ways to meet soon for another adventure. (From here you can easily get a cab/bus to Manikaran or Kullu for your onward journey.)

    • Any expenses that arise due to changes in itinerary and increase in no. of days because of natural forces like landslides, weather, roadblocks, flight cancellations, sickness etc.

    Items to Carry

    Clothing
    • Pants: 2-3 pairs – quick dry lightweight synthetic pants, track pants are also comfortable to trek in.
    • Tshirts 2-3 pairs – Preferably full sleeves.
    • Synthetic Fleece Jacket or sweater
    • Wind proof/ Water proof Jacket – 1 pair.
    • Thermal liners – 1 pair upper and lower (optional)
    Miscellaneous
    • Toiletries -Sunscreen SPF 40+, Moisturizer, Lip balm, Soap, Toilet paper
    • Headlamp/ Torch.
    • Camera.
    • Water Bottle- Ideally keep two bottles 1 litre each.
    • Trekking Pole -Optional.
    • Plastic Packing covers. (Please pack all your gear in waterproof plastic bags so that your clothes etc do not get wet while on horses or porters. Also, carry extra plastic bags in case you need to pack wet clothes.)

    Note: We advise you to carry all the belongings in a rucksack so that it is easy to move around in case of any emergency.
